GLADS - Great Lenches Amateur Dramatic Society

GLADS are the Lenches very own amateur dramatic Society. We are a fun and sociable group of all ages and perform around the Lenches to raise money for our local community. So far to date, we have donated a total of £12,632 to a variety of charities.

We were established in 2010 and have staged a number of productions, including pantomimes, comedy dramas and murder mysteries.

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are a budding actor or could help out backstage with scenery, costumes, makeup etc. We would love to hear from you.

Yates Community Orchard

This Orchard was donated to the LSRC for the benefit of the community by David and Carol Yates. It was opened in 2008 by HRH, the Duke of Kent. There is now a gazebo for shelter and shade.
The orchard is used during the term time by the children of the local first school for their 'Forest School' activity. The orchard is kept in good order by volunteers. More are always welcome. You are welcome to have picnics in the orchard and to any fruit that is ready for picking. Please be aware that there are active beehives in a segregated section of the orchard and take appropriate precautions.
