Due to the snowy conditions we thought it wise to postpone the Ceilidh Band until later in the year, however, the "Scottish" night continued with a tasty haggis, neeps and tatties supper, followed by cranachan for dessert, for all those who could make it on foot. With the Village Hall transformed into a Baronial Hall with tartan rugs, a roaring log fire and our own Scottish pine forest (the Christmas tree being still in place!), the event turned into a family social evening. There was even a testing Scottish quiz and a raffle to finish off. Thank you to all those who came along and saved the night!
This year we are looking for photos of events throughout the year in Rous Lench and Radford, be it seasonal/climatic events or happenings, or social events. Twelve of the best and most appropriate photos will make up a Rous Lench/Radford Parish Calendar for 2014. Floods or snow, lambing time or harvest, the Ceilidh or the Pig Roast, a wedding or daffodils on the Green – remember to get your cameras out! The calendar will be made up and sold in aid of the Village Hall – there’s your Christmas presents sorted!! Photos can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Please ring Caroline Moysey on 793876 if you wish to submit photos. The closing date for entering photos is 20th October 2013.
