The Lenches Club, known locally simply as 'the Club', is a a treasured amenity in the Lenches and surrounding villages.
The Club is a non-profit establishment. It has a board of Trustees, and three Club Officers (Chairperson, Club Secretary and Club Treasurer) who, with the help of an elected voluntary management Committee oversee the overall profitability and smooth running of The Lenches Club, including the events calendar and club diary. It’s day to day running and staffing is overseen by The Steward, at present Merfyn Roberts.
The Lenches Club is run in accordance with the Club Rules – these are reviewed and any amendments must be proposed at the Annual AGM – normally held in April each year.
The Lenches Club is run for the Members by the Members.
The Club boasts a large Sports Bar, with Big Screen and BT Sports, two Pool Tables, Darts and a Skittles Alley. This room also doubles as a sizable function room, complete with permanent, raised staging area and dancefloor. The Club also has a quiet, comfortable Members Lounge Bar and Terrace, with sweeping views over the Worcestershire countryside and Sports Clubs. Dogs are more than welcome on the terraces and in the Sports Bar, provided they are clean and kept on a lead inside.
The Club has been here since 1948 when a local landowner provided a site in Church Lench for the development of a private club. It now serves as the Lenches' only drinking establishment, offering a rotation of guest ales, wines and spirits. Dedicated to maintaining the quality of our real ale provision, our steward is annually awarded Cask Marque Accreditation.
Our doors are always open to visitors, guests and new members. Annual membership is also cheap and easy to set up, and benefits include subsidised drinks, free room hire for events and many more.
On these pages you will find useful information such as opening times and directions, as well as details of our events and up to date developments at the Club. We look forward to seeing you for a drink!
