Dear Arch Community,
If you have the possibility of bored young people with you at half term and want them to do something other than play on the computer or other IT toys you might consider the half term holiday club that is being offered on the door step.
Here are the details and costs:
I really enjoyed the summer holiday club – and all that we were able to do outdoors.
Although we will not be able to do quite so much, but we will NOT be stuck indoors all the time! What we do will depend on the weather.
I want us to continue the theme of 50 things inspired by the National Trust – but with an autumn feel.
For example if it rains – we will go and have a splash in the rain! Feel the breeze on our nose and cheeks! And perhaps make mud pies! Then hot chocolate when we return.
Conkers to find and play with – adult helpers required for hole making – and has anyone got mini vices???? This is to hold conkers when you drill holes in them.
Also how about kicking leaves or catching them if you can.
On one day “Wednesday” I think we are going to play silly games – bobbing for apples, eating doughnuts off a string, sucking spaghetti through a straw (My mother taught me that), eating cream crackers and see how quick you can whistle.
On Thursday we are going to put on a show – parents and carers can come and see it. We are going to tell 2 stories with mime and pictures and sing a song or two.
So if you would like to book a young person on – please email me or phone.
The dates are: Tuesday 29th October – Thursday 31st October, start at 10.00 am and finish at 2.30 pm, bring packed lunch and supply appropriate clothes.
It is happening at Harvington School Hall.
And I am looking for senior helpers as well.
Price remains: £20 for 3 days for up to age 11 and £10 for senior helpers.
Day passes are £7.50 for one day and £15 for 2 days.
If you have friends who live outside the area – they are welcome too!
Please get in touch – any questions fire away.
