Yesterday afternoon a local resident was returning to her house in Sheriffs Lench. She was followed by a Blue Volvo Estate Registration something like VE032NR. The Blue Volvo Estate followed her all the way down the farm track to the barns in Sheriffs Lench and when she had got out of her car in the the man in the Volvo asked if she had a Sat Nav or a Smart phone and then asked if one of the neighbour’s cars was for sale. Suspicious!
She immediately called the Police who visited her soon after. She was told that the owners of the Blue Volvo Estate are to be regarded with due suspicion (edited from the original).
If residents see this car in any suspicious circumstances could they report it to the police immediately. If it is just seen on the road it may help if you make a note of the time.
We have more suspicious vehicles in Sheriffs Lench today.
A white Ford Transit with 2 men and the first four reg digits: VG60 was asking various residents about people’s car they wanted to buy.
The Police are aware and would ask residents to immediately report anything suspicious to them on 999.
We look forward to welcoming many new and first-time visitors to our lovely hall and would therefore encourage local residents to respond quickly if you would like to reserve tickets for this once in a lifetime opportunity to see Gordon on your doorstep. Please contact Fran on 01386 793651 or firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets.
Gordon Giltrap’s most famous piece of music will be remembered as the theme to the BBC ‘s “Holiday” programme but he has written many more wonderful pieces. The evening will be a mix of music and anecdotes from Gordon about touring and playing with other great musicians such as Brian May.
- age 16 and overs - £12.50 each including a hot supper or £8.50 each without food,
- under 16s - £10/£6.50.
The supper will be Fladbury pie and peas (vegetarian option available if requested before the event).
Please specify when ordering tickets whether you want food or not. (You can now pay electronically for tickets in advance via BACS, please click here to find out how.) The bar will be open and it will be a fantastic evening that you will not want to miss. We feel really proud to be able to host such a great performer in our village and hope that you will come along and enjoy the show.

Lenches Action, a local group opposed to the recent spate of housing developments in the Lenches (including a 31 house estate), following a brief period where we extended the use of a section of this site now now have their own web site:
Any comments or queries should be sent directly to Lenches Action email@example.com
We are pleased to note that the one stipulation we put on hosting their content, namely the representation of all opinions, is being continued in the publication of an open letter from the Mayfield Estate landowner.
Apart from notifying you about important milestones and events in the process of the various applications we do not plan to comment on the matter further on this site.
Rous Lench village hall wants to add a bit of life to your weekday for a change! The show will start promptly at 7:30pm, and will finish by approximately 9:30pm.
It is direct from Italy, and will be a fun night of 50’s style swing jazz music combined with cooking Italian food!
The cooking is part of the show, and it's unlikely the performers will be able to share much, if any, with the audience. But no worries, nibbles will be available at the bar!
Tickets are £9 each suitable for over 16s.
Advance tickets available from Fran Herdman: 01386 793561.
