You know the expression “One door opens and another door closes” – well good news: LEYS ROAD is now OPEN!
I have just driven down it and I asked workers finishing for the day and they said that they have very nearly finished. You can drive almost all of it two way – there’s just a container office at the side. Virtually all the fencing has gone – so even big trucks could get down. HOORAY!
The “closing” story is related to All Saints, Church – it is closing during November while it is redecorated – HOORAY FOR REDECORATION! We hoped to do this earlier in the year but the tower repairs got in the way.
The last service before redecorating will be on 27th October at 11.00 am. We would value help moving “stuff” after the service to keep it safe from dust and paint. We hope that it will be reopened in early December. Details of how church services are going to be offered will be circulated and included in the November issue of the ARCH Messenger.
I have been asked by the Harvington shops to remind you that they are still open for business and look forward to welcoming you back if you have been elsewhere the last few weeks.
